Job Description

RDC Marketing seeks a senior marketing executive to diagnose growth blockers and lead strategy, creative direction, and paid media for a portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands, onsite in Redfield, IA.

Responsibilities

Own a book of DTC clients as the senior marketing mind on their account.
Identify growth blockers, design the strategy to fix them, and execute paid media to drive results.
Direct creative direction for campaigns and assets.
Manage client relationships as a peer to the founder.
Push back when needed, supported by data and results.

Requirements

Think in marketing principles first and ad platforms second.
Understand positioning, offer, audience, message-to-market fit, brand, and customer psychology.
Seasoned marketer with opinions backed by measurable results, not theory.
Fluent in the unit economics of a DTC business, not just ad metrics.
Ability to walk us through a creative pivot you led, where a dead concept was scrapped for a working alternative.
Boldness to tell a client something they may not want to hear, with a track record of improving outcomes.
Bonus if you have brand-side experience, having built, run, or led growth at a DTC company.
Bonus if comfortable with attribution tools and post-click optimization.

The Role

This is not an ad buyer role. You will sit across from founders, assess their business, and identify growth bottlenecks—whether creative, offers, margin, audience, funnel, or market—and develop the plan to break through.
AI-enabled platforms simplify execution, but strategic thinking and judgment remain essential. You will decide when a brand needs more creative versus new markets, upsells versus top-of-funnel expansion, or more spend versus offer fixes.
You will own a portfolio of DTC clients as the senior marketing mind on their account, diagnosing gaps, crafting strategies, and delivering paid media results. You will direct creative, manage relationships as a peer to the founder, and push back with receipts. If platforms aren’t your strength yet, we’ll teach you; the marketing mind is your core asset.

What We're Looking For

You think in marketing principles first and ad platforms second. You understand positioning, offer, audience, message to market fit, brand, and customer psychology, and bring results-backed opinions.
You’re fluent in the unit economics of a DTC business, not just ad metrics. You can describe a creative pivot you led that replaced a failing concept with a successful one, and you have the credibility to tell clients difficult truths when needed, with proven improvements.
Bonus if you have brand-side experience, built or led growth at a DTC company. Bonus if you’re comfortable with attribution tools and post-click optimization.

The Compensation

Base salary plus monthly performance bonuses tied to the growth of the accounts you manage. The more the brands grow, the more you earn.
Not a senior ad buyer comp package; there is a high ceiling for capable operators who can execute at scale.
Pay: $70,000 – $110,000 per year
