Job Description

The Marketing, Merchandising & Advertising Director role at Kemna Motor Company leads the strategy, channels, and brand stewardship for the Fort Dodge on-site store, with collaboration across Algona-area locations to maintain a single Kemna voice. The position is based in Fort Dodge, IA with a salary range of USD 50,000 to 65,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Oversee marketing, merchandising, and advertising for new and used vehicles, service and parts, the Valvoline Express Lube, tires, and commercial or fleet segments.
Strengthen the Kemna brand by delivering consistent messaging across channels, including Why Buy from Kemna, Why Service with Kemna, and Trust Kemna.
Direct digital marketing efforts for the sites kemnafd.com and kemnabuickgmc.com, including SEO, blog content, Google Analytics, paid search and social campaigns, and partnerships with Stream Advertising and Lotlinx.
Grow and convert website traffic, owning leads, phone calls, and cost per sale metrics.
Administer the Chevrolet/Buick/GMC OEM co-op programs (LMA and IMR) to maximize eligible funding.
Coordinate radio, billboard, local advertising, sponsorships, and community presence, with newspaper as needed.
Lead in-dealership and lot merchandising to ensure showroom, service drive, and lot reflect the Kemna brand.
Develop customer retention campaigns to drive repeat visits to the service drive, lube lane, and showroom.
Collaborate with Algona-area stores on shared systems, content, and brand alignment.

Requirements

Marketing experience in automotive, retail, or agency settings is preferred; the candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of outcomes rather than just activity.
Hands-on proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, and social advertising tools (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
Comfort with SEO and content creation, including building web pages and writing blog posts.
Strong writing and communication skills to produce or direct creative for radio, print, social, and web.
Highly organized and process-driven, able to manage calendars, meet deadlines, and report results.
Experience managing vendors and budgets; OEM co-op experience is a bonus.
