Marketing Manager
Job Description
Marketing Manager at Baxter, onsite in Guaynabo, PR, leads strategic marketing direction, lifecycle and promotional planning for assigned product lines in the CARICAM region, with P&L management and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic marketing direction for product lines, covering market intelligence (MS, etc), competitive intelligence, patient journey insights, funding flow, market segmentation, targeting strategy, market access and medical priorities, strategic objectives, price strategy, and the tactical plan
- Develop the financial plan (sales, opex, sgp's) and a lifecycle management strategy (LCM)
- Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies with ongoing KPI monitoring
- Deploy strategy across the commercial team
- Monitor leads and lag metrics via Salesforce
- Provide KPI-based feedback to Regional Sales Managers
- Follow up on sales opportunities (funnel)
- Perform fieldwork in collaboration with the commercial area
- Define the leased hardware strategy and track productivity
- Measure sales and profit against budget periodically and keep the sales force informed
- Recommend actions to the Sales Manager to reach objectives
- Design and implement incentive programs with the Sales Manager to drive overall sales, key product sales, and business pretax performance
- Provide input on volume, ASP, sales, marketing expenses, and capex for financial processes; AOP / FCST & Weekly Tracker
- Monitor P&L performance to ensure financial objectives are met and adjust as needed
- Ensure adequate training for Therapy Specialists, Key Account Executives, and additional personnel supporting product knowledge
- Define and monitor HCP educational programs and KOL plans, grants, and conventions
- Provide guidance and monitor Market Access and Regulatory Affairs plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of management-level marketing experience in the healthcare sector, with desirable background in Pharma, Anesthesia, Nutrition, IVs, Infusion Pumps
- Experience leading marketing strategy for the CARICAM region, including marketing plan generation, setting priorities, and market segmentation
- Direct experience marketing B2B pharmaceutical products (not OTC, Rx or any retail) with direct collaboration with hospitals and specialists
