Job Description
The Community Liaison for Horizon Health oversees outreach across the Minnesota Territory, supporting an inpatient psychiatric unit in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The role centers on generating demand for services, managing a defined territory and accounts, and representing the organization professionally in interactions with referral sources and community partners.
Responsibilities
- Uphold and apply Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards in daily activities.
- Serve as the bridge between the facility and referral sources, implementing service‑driven action plans aligned with source needs.
- Act as a community resource and representative for Horizon Health.
- Provide facility tours to key stakeholders.
- Participate in Business Development team meetings and deliver marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development promptly.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, and competitive profiles as directed.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with existing referral sources while identifying opportunities to add new sources.
- Optimize field time to maintain a daily average of 8–10 in‑person contacts with referral sources regarding programs, treatment philosophies, and outcomes data.
- Develop and communicate targeted sales messaging for each program and audience.
- Identify and build strategic sales plans for current and potential referral sources, incorporating market research to locate contacts.
- Plan and execute sales activities, as approved by the Director of Business Development, to maximize market penetration and identify new accounts in target segments.
- Monitor daily referral inquiries and admissions, analyzing weekly sales action plans for effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market changes to adjust weekly sales plans and inform broader development strategies.
- Foster positive, timely, and accurate communication; use problem‑solving skills to strengthen relationships among the facility, referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Maintain current information in MedSeries 4, MIDAS, and MEDIK, documenting daily contacts and account data; utilize reports to plan sales activity.
- Submit required reports in a timely manner, including expense reports, sales call plans, and post‑call follow‑ups.
- Participate in off‑hours sales and community activities as needed by the Director of Business Development and facility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field is required; relevant experience may substitute on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Prior marketing and/or sales experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred.
- Three years minimum of documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
