American Heritage Insurance Group is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support the owner and help advance marketing and communications for current customers and prospects across American Heritage Insurance Group and The Insurance Connection. This onsite role in Montgomery, OH supports brand awareness, customer engagement, sales activity, and the ongoing culture of the organizations.
The position centers on planning, creating, and coordinating campaigns and content across web, email, social platforms, and in-person materials. You will also help manage partner co-op expenses, track leads and referrals, and support communications that connect both internal initiatives and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and executing the marketing and communications plan, including marketing recommendations and resources.
- Maintain budget and coordinate co-op expenses with insurance company partners.
- Coordinate and create collateral for meetings, events, sales materials, and other projects as needed.
- Support Employee Engagement Activities and help coordinate The Insurance Connection Annual Meeting.
- Maintain and update the American Heritage and The Insurance Connection websites, including ongoing SEO and AEO campaigns.
- Create new and engaging social media and blog content.
- Develop and activate a social media marketing plan with monthly scheduling, last-minute updates, monitoring via social listening, and producing short videos on a quarterly basis.
- Manage social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Maintain and utilize the CRM system, including monthly newsletters, special emails about new products, and other e-communications.
- Maintain the yearly marketing calendar, including monthly content and event calendars.
- Maintain the company video board and promotional item inventory.
- Assist with annual company sportswear selection and fulfillment.
- Help grow social “recommendations” and “likes” on social media and Google.
- Track leads and referrals from various programs and sources.
- Work with outside vendors to execute projects such as advertising campaigns, print needs, and telephone jingles.
- Maintain internal and external directories.
- Assist with answering phones or greeting customers.
- Support general administrative duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree in Marketing or Communications, Business, Public Relations, Risk Management, Graphics Arts and Design, or Journalism.
- Knowledge and experience with social media activities.
- A thorough appreciation of sales environments.
- Proficiency to multi-task, follow through, and follow up.
- Strong communication skills with experience in both oral and written communication.
- Creative design experience preferred.
- Evidence of successful project management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the insurance industry is a plus; equivalent relevant business work experience may be a substitute.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Office, MAC & PC use, Hawksoft CMS (agency management system), Mail Chimp, and WordPress, plus digital formats for print copy.
- Understanding of basic coding language.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (based on experience)
