Job Description

Local Kitchens is hiring a hands-on Marketing Associate for the Bay Area. This hybrid role in San Francisco (mostly remote) gives you real ownership over social and email campaigns, with clear visibility into how your work affects sales. You will also get creative room to shape a fun, local food brand, while collaborating on outreach that supports catering and group business.

What you’ll do

Own Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other channels: plan content, shoot, edit, and post to drive hungry customers in the door.
Build and send campaigns for promotions, new menu items, events, and catering, growing the list and tracking what performs best.
Help generate revenue through outreach and lead follow-up, including a commission for any sales booked.
Find and contact local businesses to support office lunches, meetings, and events.
Reach out to college and youth sports teams traveling to the Bay Area for games and tournaments, positioning Local Kitchens as a go-to for team meals.
Follow up on catering leads and work toward repeat clients.
Support visibility by helping get featured in local press, “best of” lists, and food roundups.
Discover partnership opportunities with community events, schools, gyms, and neighborhood groups.
Track results including follower growth, email performance, leads, and catering bookings, and share what’s working.

What you bring

1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, sales, or hospitality.
A strong portfolio; recent grads are welcome.
Strong content instincts, including comfort creating photos and short-form video on a phone.
Clear, friendly writing with a voice that fits a fun, local food brand.
Confidence reaching out directly, including picking up the phone with people you don’t know.
Self-starter energy: you can manage your own time and pipeline without micromanagement.
Bonus: experience with Canva, CapCut, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, or a CRM; restaurant or hospitality background; Spanish fluency.
Reliable transportation to visit four locations when needed.

Tools you’ll use

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Canva, CapCut, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and CRM.

Why this role

Creative control over the brand’s voice and content.
Direct impact: see your work show up in sales.
Room to grow: pathway to more hours and an expanded role as demand proves out.
Team meals and an employee discount at all locations.
Flexible, mostly remote schedule, with the flexibility noted for a flexible schedule.

Location: Hybrid remote in San Francisco, CA 94114
Pay: $22.00–$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15–25 hours per week
Minimum experience: 1 year
