Job Description

The University of Michigan Dearborn College of Business is seeking a part-time College of Business Marketing Department Assistant to help manage communications, writing, digital marketing, and social media tasks. This on-site role supports a range of marketing and outreach efforts for the department, with a schedule of 10-15 hours per week and a starting wage of $15 per hour, subject to evaluation for potential increases based on responsibilities and performance.

Responsibilities

Source and publish content to the department's social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, while monitoring and responding to comments and messages.
Draft and post announcements to the hall monitors and the events calendar, among other channels.
Write, edit, and distribute mass emails using approved templates.
Assist in writing or editing content for other publications and web pages as needed.
Adhere to confidentiality guidelines when handling private and personal information.
Take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Current undergraduate degree-seeking student at UM-Dearborn.
Excellent written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
Accurate data entry, typing, and proofreading abilities.
Strong organizational skills.
